TCEQ "Sold out" Montgomery County by approving TexCom commercial waste injection well permits

"TCEQ had ample scientific, legal and political justification to deny this injection well permit, but instead chose to advance business interests over the public. I am disgusted with the outcome of this exhaustive three-year process. This effort is not over as far as I am concerned,"

stated State Rep. Brandon Creighton, R-Conroe, on the TCEQ's recent decision to grant the TexCom injection well permit request.

FINAL Hearing Date - CROW/Stop the Toxic Wells - Busses Going to Austin

From Jennifer Real -

Stop The Toxic Wells / CROW Announces

Four years of man power and millions of dollars
Comes down to .......
One day and three Texas Commission of Environmental Quality Commissioners on
January 26th 2011

The TexCom Gulf Disposal Wastewater injection well permits come before the TCEQ Commissioners for a FINAL decision to approve or deny the permits on Wednesday, January 26th at 1:00 pm at the TCEQ headquarters located at 12100 Park 35 Circle, Building E, Room 201S in Austin, Texas

We need everyone to be there to show their support in opposition of these permits.....It is critical!!!
This is the day we have been working for....this is "THE ONE" Please be there. (Bus info below)

PLEASE PASS THIS ON TO EVERYONE YOU KNOW AND ASK THEM TO DO THE SAME....WE NEED EVERYONE TO DO THIS NOW!!!.

The residents of Montgomery County and surrounding areas, the City of Conroe, Montgomery County, Lone Star Ground Water Conservation District, as well as Denbury Onshore, LLC, Representative Brandon Creighton, Senator Robert Nichols, Representative Rob Eissler and ALL Montgomery county elected officials have been fighting the TexCom Gulf Disposal commercial wastewater injection well permits for four years now.

Thousands of man hours and millions of dollars have been expended in an effort to protect the water for 54 Texas counties based on our shared belief that the site proposed for this injection facility in the Old Conroe Oil Field is unsuitable for many reasons. However, the first and foremost reason is the potential contamination of the underground Texas Gulf Coast Aquifer which is the primary source of drinking water for Conroe, The Woodlands, Kingwood, Spring, and all other areas within the 54 counties whose drinking water is supplied by the Texas Gulf Coast Aquifer
Bus Transportation Available

We will have buses to transport people to the TCEQ hearing on January 26th. They will load at 8:00 am in the morning and return that same evening. The plan is to have buses load in The Woodlands and Conroe area

Please call and reserve your spot and committment to attend the hearing and protect your water and the water for future generations to come by calling:
Jennifer Real @ 936-499-7173 or
Karen Darcy @ 713-806-7189

If you could also please let us know if you will be providing your own transportation to Austin that day so we have an idea of how many to expect.

We need a count as soon as possible to ensure we have enough buses....don't delay.

Jennifer's Blog Spot

This is it everyone.....the years of hard work....the thousands of emails....the countless fundraisers....the hours and hours of hard work for so many....not to mention the millions spent to fight these permits.

This is the day.....PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE Do everything you can to be at the hearing (I am taking off work...you can to... it is that important)....that is what stopped it last time and we MUST show them we are still here and it is time to end the maddness once and for ALL.

If there has ever been a time to stand up for the right reasons this is it. Don't let yourself down or your community...united we stand in the MOST important issue facing Montgomery County today.

How to Protect Yourself from Strangers, Burglars, Muggers, etc.

Everyone should take 5 minutes to read this. It may save your life or a loved one's life.

Here are 9 crucial steps to protect yourself in a dangerous situation:

1. Tip from Tae Kwon Do :

The elbow is the strongest point on your body. If you are close
enough to use it, do!

2. Learned this from a tourist guide.

If a robber asks for your wallet and/or purse, DO NOT HAND IT TO
HIM. Toss it away from you. Chances are that he is more interested
in your wallet and/or purse than you, and he will go for the wallet/
purse.

RUN LIKE MAD IN THE OTHER DIRECTION!

3. If you are ever thrown into the trunk of a car, kick out the back
tail lights and stick your arm out the hole and start waving like
crazy. The driver won't see you, but everybody else will. This has
saved lives.

4. Women have a tendency to get into their cars after shopping,
eating, working, etc., and just sit doing their checkbook, or making
a list, etc. DON'T DO THIS! The predator will be watching you, and
this is the perfect opportunity for him to get in on the passenger
side, put a gun to your head, and tell you where to go. AS SOON AS
YOU GET INTO YOUR CAR, LOCK THE DOORS AND LEAVE.

If someone is in the car with a gun to your head, DO NOT DRIVE OFF.
Repeat: DO NOT DRIVE OFF! Instead gun the engine and speed into
anything, wrecking the car. Your Air Bag will save you. If the
person is in the back seat, they will get the worst of it. As soon
as the car crashes, bail out and run. It is better than having them
find your body in a remote location.

5. A few notes about getting into your car in a parking lot or
parking garage:

A) Be aware: look around you, look into your car, at the passenger
side floor, and in the back seat.

B) If you are parked next to a big van, enter your car from the
passenger door. Most serial killers attack their victims by
pulling them into their vans while the women are attempting to
get into their cars.

C) Look at the car parked on the driver's side of your vehicle and
the passenger side. If a male is sitting alone in the seat
nearest your car, you may want to walk back into the mall, or
work, and get a guard/policeman to walk you back out.

IT IS ALWAYS BETTER TO BE SAFE THAN SORRY. (And better paranoid
than dead.)

6. ALWAYS take the elevator instead of the stairs. Stairwells
are horrible places to be alone and the perfect crime spot. This
is especially true at NIGHT!

7. If the predator has a gun, and you are not under his control,
ALWAYS RUN! The predator will only hit you (a running target)
4 out of 100 times; and even then, it most likely WILL NOT be
a vital organ. RUN, preferably in a zig-zag pattern!

8. As women, we are always trying to be sympathetic. STOP! It
may get you raped or killed. Ted Bundy, the serial killer, was
a good-looking, well educated man, who ALWAYS played on the
sympathies of unsuspecting women. He walked with a cane, or a
limp, and often asked "for help" into his vehicle or with his
vehicle, which is when he abducted his next victim.

9. Another Safety Point:

If you hear a crying baby outside, call the police. Whatever
you do, DO NOT open the door. It has been mentioned that a
serial killer has a baby's cry recorded and uses it to coax
women out of their homes thinking that someone dropped off a
baby. The crying baby theory was mentioned on America's Most
Wanted in regard to a serial killer in Louisiana.

10. Water scam!

If you wake up in the middle of the night to hear all your
taps outside running or what you think is a burst pipe, DO NOT
GO OUT TO INVESTIGATE! These people turn on all your outside
taps full force, so that you will go out to investigate and
then attack.

Stay alert, keep safe, and look out for your neighbors!
