RPMUD Election - Vote for 2, 3 & 7 - May 10, 2014

River Plantation MUD is having an election for three positions on the board of directors.  When the incumbents were elected in May of 2010, they increased taxes for 2011.  Now they are talking about raising water rates to force residents to conserve, and there has been talk of increasing taxes again.  We have enough money, according to our auditor and bookkeeper, and don't need these increases.

We are asking for your votes for three new directors

#2 on the ballot - George Gilmer - Small-business owner selling throughout the USA and four countries.  He developed two patents and is working on two more.

#3 - Dave Bartlow - Retired from management position with Owens Corning and is now active in his real estate investment company.

#7 - Mark Robin - United/Continental airline pilot.  BS Civil Engineering. USAF Lt. Col., Retired.  Served in Iraq and trained Army personnel.

Frugality is necessary in business, but, more importantly, frugality is a moral yet often overlooked obligation of our government.  RPMUD is a taxing authority and is your government.  Goal is to trim the RPMUD budget and eliminate any waste.

Early voting continues through Saturday, May 3, from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., and Monday, May 5, and Tuesday, May 6, from 7:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m.

Election Day is May 10 from 7:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. at the Cornerstone Church on Mosswood Drive.

We are a small community.  Every vote counts.  Vote 2, 3 & 7

Thank you!
