Urgent Toxic Well Info

Hello everyone this is an urgent message and an important call to action to STOP THE TOXIC WELLS!

I know it has been awhile since you have received an email but I have saved them all up for this big one or I should say this one....the most important one.

We need everyone to join us at the State Capitol in Austin next Tuesday March 24, 2009 @ 8:00 am. I know this is short notice and very early morning call time. However, this is what we have been waiting for with the new legislation pending.

On this day the bills that Rep. Creighton & Senator Nichols have wrote to help stop our wells and help protect Texans will be before the House Natural Resource Committee as well Senator Nichols is getting the senate hearing the same day.

Rep. Creighton and Nichols office have expressed the importance and encouraged that as many people that can come to these hearings....please do so. It is VERY IMPORTANT. We needs these bills to be recommended to the floor so they can be voted on......and ultimately passed.

Again, do not rely on others doing this.....this is everyone's responsibility to take part in the process of protection or our water our "Natural Resources". WE HAVE MADE A DIFFERENCE THUS FAR. WE MUST SEE IT THROUGH TOGETHER!!

I will be sending room number info and bill numbers that must be referenced when signing in at the capital over the weekend.on Sunday, so watch for it. Many of us driving will be leaving at 4:00 am heading to Austin.....I will also include a meeting place if you wish to follow one another.

If you absolutely can NOT go to Austin...Sunday I will forward info to email to our legislator on Monday making your voice heard that way. Do not use this choice if you can attend in person.....in person is very important.

The time has come again to FIGHT for what's right!

STOPPING THE TOXIC WELLS

I know it has been nice not to get my emails and have to worry about our water.....but the fight continues ....Thanks to the TCEQ's remand of our case back to the SOAH judges for another hearing. For those of you who attended that hearing in November.....Thank you and was it an eye opener or what? I know all of you now have a much better understanding as to how important this cause is and are ready to fight this with all we got.

What's next and what we need to do.

1. Fundraising to continue fight -
Garage Sale & BBQ date planned for April 26 & 27 @ Fire Station Four Corners
in Conroe (map and directions will come as it get closer).
Drop off of donations to be held Saturday April 18, 2009 from 9 am - 5 pm

****Start spring cleaning and saving your stuff for the Garage Sale. We also need people to work drop off and at the garage sale. So please let me know when we can count on you.

2. Community Awareness - We all know we MUST keep the awareness and numbers
high as that is why the permits were not granted and why the EPA is watching these
permits so closely and how we are going to stop this forever!!!
Earth Day - The Woodlands date is April 18, 2009. We need people to work and
hand out info and help spread the word and keep people aware. We need people from
9 am - 3 pm. As you will see Garage sale drop off and Earth day is the same day so we
need lots of help.

We will be notified shortly when our new hearing date is and I will advise ASAP. In the meantime if you are any of the following or know someone that is and willing to help this fight PLEASE PLEASE contact me....we need you.

Traffic Specialist , Petro Chemical Engineer, Hydro Engineer, Geologist, Expert in the Conroe Oil Field, Expert on Injection Wells, Expert on other means of disposal of Class 1 Waste, Real Estate Appraiser, ANY others who feel they have more info to add to help fight this. New case so we need new people and all the info and ammo we can get.

TXDOT Closing Revised

FM 1488 exit will be closed from 9 p.m. to 5 a.m. nightly through Friday, 2/27.

Agenda for RPMUD Meeting - Thursday, February 26 at 7:00 p.m.

The board will meet at the RPMUD office at 7:00 p.m. to discuss the following:

1. Confirm minutes of the 1/29 and 2/5/ meetings.

2. Comments from the public.

3. Review/Approve pay estimate 5 from Schier construction for WTP 3

4. Discuss/Approve WTP 3 change order request.

5. Discuss possible development of property west of I-45.

6. Discuss/Approve early bond payment.

7. Discuss/Approve GOF and Maintenance Funds consolidation.

8. Discuss/Approve additional landscaping at WTP 3.

9. Review Administrative reports.

10. Discuss any new or unfinished business.

Northbound FM 1488 exit closes 2/22 for repairs

TXDOT is closing I-45 northbound exit to FM 1488 at 9 p.m. tonight until 5 a.m. Friday to repair uneven pavement near the exit. Expect more traffic at the River Plantation exit, since the alternates are Texas 242 and RP Drive.

Injection Well - Meeting on 2/23/09

A meeting has been set for February 23, 2009, in Austin to define what TexCom will need to furnish for the next meeting.

When the date of the "next meeting" is determined, notice will be sent to everyone to reserve a space on the bus to Austin to show opposition to this Toxic Well project again.

Our standing-room-only presence in November went a long way in stopping approval at that meeting.
